San Fran

Elena is so cute. She has such huge adorable eyes!
I have had a nice little free trip to the west coast. I was in San Francisco for a conference with a couple of co-workers. We made sure we had plenty of free time to check out the city and to fill ourselves with seafood. I had jellyfish for the first time. It was pretty good. Not what I expected.
I have a friend from college who lives out there. He is a park ranger and works at Alcatraz and Fort Point so he gives great tours of the area. He also has great taste in food so that meant more eating and drinking.
Fortunately the days we were out there were the only sunny days in over a month. We came home just before the torrential downpours and mudslides happened.
Now it is back to the daily grind until the next trip.

okay so it took me a while to comment, but anyways... how cool you were in San Fran, although really I have to mention it was only a short flight from here but I guess I will forgive you for not visiting. San Fran is such a cool town. Ryan and I have both been there a few times and there is always something cool to do. We stayed in Chinatown and had an amazing time... felt like we had left the US, which was pretty good for us. They have a few amazing restaurants there... some of my best dining experiences ever. I have never been to Alcatraz...was it creepy? Your friend from college isn't Scott from parking is it... I am guessing not, but didn't he become a park ranger?
Not sure, anyhow...glad you got to go-V
Scott from parking? I don't remember who he is. So that would be a no. :)
San Fran is a great town. I thought of you guys while I was there but unfortunately the company doesn't pay for sidetrips to see friends. :(
Brian and I were just in Toronto for his 30th B-day. That's a fun city too. Lot's to see, eat, do. Even though it rained almost everyday while we were there we had a good time.
Oh wait! I do remember who Scott from parking is. And no it still isn't him. I met Eric through my old roommate Manoj, who I met through Brian.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but my comments aren't showing up. I commented on this post earlier... maybe I hit preview instead of publish. :/
Anyway, pretty photos. Remember when we went to San Francisco? Lake Tahoe was the best though. I think we should all meet up there sometime. Such a gorgeous place!
That was a great trip. Maybe not so much for you because someone couldn't drive stick very well so you had to do 95% of the driving!
how could you forget Scott, think squirrels running around on the roof and then one fell off... come on :)
