not just another monday

I took Ephraim to his first community center class this morning. It is an imagination, music, movement class for two year olds. Ephraim definitely got the movement part. It was in a big gym which to Ephraim is a big wide open invitation to nonstop running around. He sat for the songs for a while and sang and played instruments like all the other kids, but pretty soon was running little circles around me while singing and pretty soon the circles got as big as the gym would allow and it occurred to me, it is only my child that feels the need to be in absolute constant motion, a trait most definitely not inherited by his mama. Hmm... where could he have gotten this need for speed? Thankfully there were later games that actually incorporated running, hopping, and skipping across the gym which he liked much more, but then I had the thought what if number two is as active as number one? Oh Lord. Speaking of number two, today is the day that the doctor will put the magic wand on my belly and hopefully tell us as the gender!! Please baby don't cross your legs :) My sister, Jill is expecting in April and her very modest baby refuses to let anyone see down there, which is weird because she (Jill) has never been known for her modesty. So keep your fingers crossed for a non-girly girl or mellow boy. If only an ultrasound could tell us personality too.
